There seems to be a lot of fill in the blanks type of advertising in
AdWords and Yahoo Search that I believe hurts the credibility of those ads.

Search for just about any kind of common term and you find ebay, bizrate
and other marketplace ads that may not even have the item once you click
through on the link. It's like the old Amazon ads that used to show up
on every keyword in Yahoo. If you searched for @#!% on Yahoo the result
would include an ad that said, "Find books about @#!% at Amazon." You
could really get some silly results.

Still, I think if searchers continue to see that kind of garbage results
in the "sponsored ads" they will start ignoring them completely.
