You could turn the list into a forum, many of which
offer email subscriptions and RSS, giving you multiple
ways to subscribe.

Im most familiar with Vbulletin, so it would be my
suggestion, but there are others out there as well.

The hard part would be converting old lists and emails
 into posts and threads, so all past information wasnt
lost.

Indiviual Emails or daily digests could probably be
imported and convered into posts with a hacked
version. The tough part would be creating the
appropriate threads.

Thats my 2 cents worth of free thinking!
