Re: Ad Click EMetrics - Filtering out spiders and robots

Few months ago I was running a campaign at Google. The URL on the AD was
www.mydomain.com/google and the actual URL for the ad was
www.mydomain.com/?r=google. After launching the ad on Google I noticed
visits without referrals that directly went to www.mydomain.com/google and
one could encounter that URL only by seeing the ad at Google.

After I started to run each keyword with separate display URLs and for one
keyword I had very low Clicks but high level of indirect visits to the
displayed URL.

My opinion is that there are some people who do not want advertisers to
spend money or Google and similar companies generate more revenue and
instead of clicking they type the address that they see on the add.

Thanks,

Art
