Full Online Ads List Archive now online
Greetings!
I hope everyone had a good holiday and is looking forward to a
stellar 2007. While the discussion on this list has been quiet, the
http://www.o-a.com web site traffic and activity has continued to be
quite active.
I've recently completed a project to export the entire ten year,
14,500+ posting history of this list to the web, and right now most
everything through November of 2006 is online (see
http://www.o-a.com/archives.html). I'd guess that a few hundred
postings through the years were lost in the process of exporting my
archives to HTML, but for the most part, the majority of the list
history is now easily accessible and indexed by the major search
engines.
I also put all the postings into a content management framework that
allows me to modify the page design (and advertising) around the
postings independent of the individual postings themselves. This will
facilitate simple site design revisions in the future without having
to go and modify 14,000+ pages individually.
The exporting of the archives also provides vastly greater exposure
to the discussion list sponsor companies in our "Industry Leaders"
sidebar on the site. These companies are now shown on all the pages
in the archives rather than just on the dozen or so main pages of
o-a.com, multiplying the exposure quite significantly. In conjunction
with the site upgrade, we are going to be offering a deal through
January 15th, where any company that signs up for a six month listing
in the Online Advertising Industry Leader directory will get their
listing for a full year for just the six month rate. See
