Actually I agree with Robert, at least in part. The design isn't very
nice. But there wasn't any redesign... the current design that has
been there for a considerable while (years) was just promulgated to
14,000+ new pages. Only new thing really was the addition of a search
box to the upper right corner.
The good thing about it is that I set it up so I only have to swap in
a new design template to change all the pages. Which brings us to the
next topic that I'd planned to raise...
There is a ton of content there... 14,500 pages of Google magnet, and
it doesn't hurt that the site has a decent pagerank and is one of the
very top search results for "Online Advertising." We get steady
traffic looking for info on that topic.
So I put it to the list... I can easily change the design of the
pages if I have a better design and better advertising. Better
means... 1) generates more ad revenue; 2) is friendlier to visitors;
3) encourages more traffic from search engine results. To the extent
I have time to deal with it, I'm willing to try different approaches
and report results.
What does the collective intelligence of this list suggest? What
would you do if it was your site?
