Question on time spent visiting

Cliff and list members,

I have been reading in the trade press that the new currency for evaluating
the effectiveness of various sites on an online media buy is now time spent
visiting rather than impressions or unique visitors. I understand it is
important to be able to lose those visitors who clicked thru by mistake, but
I wondered if anyone has developed a formula that still considers unique
visitors as a response rate and uses time spent visiting as another factor.
Most of our clients are business-to-business so the sites we use are
industry publication or organization sites and I want to be able to compare
their value to our clients.
