I have a simular Google Search Results Paradox with my Gallery Guide website:

Enter "GalleryGuide" as one word and my site, GalleryGuide.TV, ranks #2

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=galleryguide&btnG=Google+Search

Enter "Gallery Guide" as two words and my site does not show at all:

http://www.google.com/search?q=gallery+guide&hl=en&start=70&sa=N

This paradox is unique to Google, and has been going on for years with
no solution, or response, coming from Google. I can only speculate... that
because "the competition" is a Google AdWords client the results are
skeWed perhaps by design. In the Gallery Guide example the site that
appears in the number one spot, GalleryGuide*com/org does not actually
exist. Clicking it leads to a re-direct to ArtInfo*com. ArtInfo*com just
happens to be in the Adwords sidebar space for "GalleryGuide" &
"Gallery Guide" queries.
