There's been a lot of discussion in some of the marketing and advertising
mailing
lists lately about banner advertising and click-thru ratios. I thought some
people might be interested in taking a look at:

We compare some of the click-thru ratios of banners that we have tested to
advertise our service, the Internet Link Exchange. Each banner has been
shown over
16,000 times, so we believe the results to be statistically significant.

Personally, I find that it's interesting to see that the most effective banners
are not necessarily the most attractive ones.
