I read Virginia's e-mail too.

I'm new BTW, name's Neil and work at the company AboarD (URL below) doing
some marketing, and various other things (we are a small company).

I've been spending some time to submitting our URL via the professional
Submit It service (found it very good to help manage all the myriad of
sites). I'm not convinced yet that we will double or treble our hit from
marketing inside the internet. Not at all.

We are about to send out a press releases to all the major publications in
our field (Boats) and this will be the time to start watching the HTTP logs..

In terms of Boats I just doubt that many people know where we are or use the
'net to buy of sell. Some sites in the states in our area are claiming
thousands of hit per day, perhaps it is working. But in Europe the key to
growth of our audience is awareness outside the internet. There is a very
large boatshow coming up (Southampton) and I have a hunch that this will be
the catalyst to a serious growth in the number of people viewing our site,
and our customer's pages.

Must dash now, but thanks to everyone for contributing to this very
informative list - much appreciated and carefuly read !

Neil
