Environmental/Integrated ads - what's your take?

Greetings everyone. My name is Marshal and I am the East Coast Editor for
Interactive Marketing magazine. I'm doing a feature dealing with
environmental or integrated advertising - such as being done by Warner
Bros. Online, the SPOT, Jazz Central, etc.. This is where the ad is an
integral part of the content as opposed to being a blatent banner or the
like. I would like to know of other instances in which advertising has
been creatively integrated into a site's content and your thoughts/comments
regarding them as well as the role of integrated advertising in the online
medium. Also, I would like to pose a couple of questions to the list --
So you think that this is the way that all online advertising is headed?
Does such advertising have more appeal because of the audience or because
of the nature of the medium or both?
By the way, I've enjoyed being a part of the list and have found it
invaluable as a source of *thinking material* besides just plain good
reading and a left side of the brain extension source.
Thanks-Marshal
