NONE: The Imapct of IDML?!

The Imapct of IDML?!

One of our participants in this (fine) forum is Jeff Leane from Identify .
Seems like a nice, bright fellow and his company is promoting a different
kind of search tool. (Please forgive me both Jeff and group if I do not
convey the concept/product correctly. People should follow w/ questions
and comments and Jeff Leane will undoubtedly step up to the plate too).
That having been said, IDML is a mark-up extention (like META tags, I
believe) that exists to help people locate you based on "your specific
product(s), price(s), etc. not just "your pages".
An excerpt of one of several Jeff Leane emails:
"...Tony, today's search engines do *not* help you to connect with qualified
customers. They're not designed to. That frustrates the customer, and I'm
sure it frustrates you.
Identify does for products what a search engine does for web pages. It
helps to connect qualified customers with merchants who sell the things
they ask for. But no machine is smart enough to figure out what you have,
as the Excite example proves, so merchants have to *tell* Identify what
they sell. IDML is how you tell Identify exactly what items you have for
sale, then Identify helps people find them."
The point: I think this is something good that people should know about.
If it's junk, somebody clue me in. Can we review in this group?

The above was totally unsolicited and is *purely* in the interest of
uncovering real and valuable ways to market.
