Targeted Banners ot Hit & Miss?!

With so much to read (*and remember*) on the web...I can't! So I need to
ask for help. I believe I ran across information on putting banner
advertising in front of "related audiences".
Specially/selfishly, musical themes in artwork, t-shirts, etc.... I would
like to have a chance to be viewed in front of people looking for CD's,
jazz newsletters, rock concerts, and so on, instead of "hit & *miss*. Can
I Get a Witness?!
Thanks for your thoughts.
