I've been reading the discussion for a few weeks and this is my first reply.

This is regarding Stve Hess' inquiry about trade shows.

I attended _at_dtech in New Orleans in June, but did not exhibit. The sessions
were extremely well-organized, the content was excellent, most presentations
were informational instead of being infomercials and there were a number of
good keynotes providing differing visions of the future and lots of food for
thought.

Attendance was good for a first year and exhibitors limited. Since this
show is targeting the advertising community, I think the choice of New
Orleans may have been a mistake -- too out of the way for the bulk of the ad
community.

Based on my experience, I will definitely attend it again and due to the
quality of its content I encourage our industry to support it and make it
successful.
