Hi Cliff, great list.
As many before me stated, web sites are like infomercials....if nobody said
that...I want credit for it. :>
I personally hate infomercials and I am developing the next cycle of online
advertising which shall incorporate subliminal advertising, web pages, e-mail
and content...content... and content.
On another list, Bryan Farrish <wriite_at_SOHO.IOS.COM> wrote about what he called
an adsong. He describes an adsong as by placing a brand name into
yet-unfinished song lyrics, such that the finished song becomes a 2-4 minute
long commercial, complete with disclosures both before and after each radio
airing, and with its airtime completely paid for by the marketer.
As we all know, advertisers pay big bucks for product placements within film and
TV programing. So shall be the same for the widely read soon to be syndicated
content provider. I predict that content providers via e-mail shall bring
the online community to the commercial web pages. (trolling comment)
What came first? Original content or customized content for the advertiser?

send me cash....the web site.......reach out to users, and get them to go to
send me cash....your site, or sell, or inform them by other methods entirely.
send me cash....To me, this last is most exciting, since it is the least used
send me cash....and least understood at the moment. Lists are a great way to
send me cash....advertise many types of products and services, IF they match the
send me cash....interests of the people on the list. Free email accounts that
send me cash....include advertising, a la Freemark and Juno, is another approach

I agree with the above ideaology....e-mail is still the most widely accepted
and cost-effective killer app on the internet. New users are more likely to
have a positive e-mail experience on the internet before anything else.
