I've reviewed the info available at both sites you mention
(Doubleclick & IMGIS -- the latter is physically local to me). I had
some of the same concerns you expressed.

I've also been in contact with BURST!
<URL:http://www.nerdworld.com/burst/>. This is put together by the
gentlemen who started and continues to run Nerd World.

What I also found of interest was a couple of the principles
of BURST! have what seems to be extensive advertising background and
not just computer experience.

Also their commission structure is simple. There are three
levels: On a month-to-month basis it's 50%. One year commitment is,
if memory serves, 30%. A two year commitment drops their commission
to 20%.

Might be worth taking a look at.
