Actually their FAQ says three years.
By the way a few days ago I have seen 'WWIN' http://www.wwinet.com/
that has moderate requirements to traffic and promises up to
$50/1000 views to the affiliates. They seem to have many banners,
although some of them apparently are those of the affiliates.
As to the Commonwealth I got a little puzzled -- they prohibit
to advertise the banners of others, still at the bottom of each page
of the 'leaderboard' (i.e. somewhere near Cindy's or Pamela's feet),
there always was an 'obligatory' LinkExchange banner.
(I just checked -- Jenny McCarthy beated up freebies and joined the
team!)
As I mentioned LinkExchange, I have to say that I like it, but it's hard to
like what is it turning into. For example, 'The People Choice Top 100'
(http://pages.linkstar.com/bannerlink/peoples.html) make a special
"intermediate" page between each link from their 'Top 100' hotlist
and the actual destination. From what I saw, 'Annies Wild Wolf Woman Page'
seems to be a winner, but while following this link, I don't reach a
page immediately. Instead I see some LinkExchange member's banner,
and "Click here for Annies Wild Wolf Woman Page". Thus the authors charge
me as a reader (an amount of time I spend to click second time), and
certainly cheat to LinkExchange, since my intention is to see "Annies
Wild Wolf Woman Page" and not whatever banner is at the bottom.
Now, while I don't mind Top 100 get Cindy&Pamela's clicks at exchange,
this is actually how these high-traffic sites collaborate with
well-targeted sites that seek advertisement and honestly put LinkExchange
banners at the top of the pages. It certainly discourages people from
playing fair games and probably doesn't do good for LinkExchange sponsors
either.
