Well, actually, as a Mac user, one of the things that irritates me the most
is getting info for non-Mac products! :-). But putting "For Windows
users..." in the subject line would be very helpful. [A digression here,
but why do some advertisers not say what platform(s)their product runs on?
The first thing I ask when I see a software/hardware ad is, "Will it work
on my machine?"]

But why not look into ways of finding and targeting just the windows users?
Maybe check into advertising on an the e-mail newsletters that goes to
Windows users (No, I don't know of any, but I would guess there are some!)

I like messages with 2-3 sentences and a web site to visit. If you've got a
lot of shareware to offer, you might consider making one freeware, so you
can tell people about the freeware product, which will hopefully bring them
to your site where they can see and learn about your shareware products.
