Hi Everyone --
I concur that this thread related to the discussion of personal viewpoints
about mailing and spamming issues is going nowhere in being able to assist
all of us out here grappling with *very* real issues on how to effectively
establish online advertising, marketing and promotion techniques and
strategy.
This discussion group is being denigrated by such argument and debate on
spamming that can never be resolved.
I would like to know why comments and discussion from such as organizations
such as Chiat/Day and other leading online advertising and marketing
enterprises have chosen not to participate in this mailing list group. It is
no coincidence why their knowledge and experience is not being shared here.
If this mailing list is going to flourish and succeed and not become another
aurgumentative ALT newsgroup is by starting to provide real value for the
professionals working and making money with this media, and by making these
individuals comfortable participating in a meaningful fashion to educate
others and to have worthwhile discussion about online marketing/advertising
issues.
I hope this group can begin charting a new course for itself to focus on the
real day to day issues that need better understanding. In the real world,
advertising and promotion firms have several venues in which they invest the
time of executives and employees to participate speaking and sharing issues
and solutions with competitors. This discussion group must do the same.
