Hidden revenue

In any discussion of website earnings potential, it is useful to mention
the revenue you might forego by not "being there."

Yesterday I told a netphobic client that they must have at least a simple
web home page, if for no other reason than to display a URL on their
letterhead and business cards. This is directly analagous to the fax
machine explosion of the late 1980s -- there came a point at which you
risked losing business if caught "faxless."
