Jill pointed this out, but it's a point that needs to be brought home again and
again. Some companies won't (and don't need to) make direct sales on the
net, but
they will, in tandem with the rest of their promotion efforts, build
position and
brand equity. Sure, they may not use the Web to order a Pizza. They may not
track the
Pizza guy on the web site, but Pizza Hut made money by exposing the new
customer to
the Pizza Hut brand.
