Effective online advertising

I am an employee of a retail store and shoe resoling company. We are
primarily a mail order company, but also have a store in Miami, FL. I
have built a modest homepage to advertise the products we sell,
including all necessary descriptions and pictures. We are a very small
company and therefore I have only been allotted a small budget to work
with. I wondered if anyone on this list could share suggestions (or
actual experiences) with me on effectively promoting my site at a
relatively low cost.

Any suggestions as to the content and presentation of the site itself
