SPAM...No spam!...But how?

There is a way to get the word out without spam. If you're getting flamed,
then you are obviously off the mark in finding your target customer on the
Internet. Its going to be a couple more years before the Internet becomes
the shopping mall which everyone thinks it is currently . In the interim,
the key for small businesses trying to sell NOW is a good location on the
Net and useful content.

Good location on the Net could mean a variety of things, but in this case,
we're probably talking about advertising or sponsoring on sites which your
target customer might also find interesting. Do some snooping around and
see if you can find any site which would complement yours, such as musician
supply sites, music magazines, etc. You could exchange links with these
"sites of interest" to your customer or buy space to narrowcast your message.

As for useful content, you're probably a better judge than I, but a
suggestion would be to provide background/factoids on musicians. The other
suggestion would be to create a link page to resources at universities, etc.
which your target customer would find interesting. Taking the idea one-step
further, you might want to rate each link based on its usefulness.
