this is interesting. I use this e-mail address nearly exclusively, but I
also have accounts on AOL and Compuserve, and i take care of the e-mail for
the small business I work for, which is also on AOL.
Now, this account rarely gets junk mail (I get ads, but they're either from
a place where I asked to be put on a mailing list,or they're well-targeted
and of interest), while both the AOL accounts get a lot of totally
untargeted junk! Since the work account is for a magazine, we get a lot of
untargeted press releases. too. Our name is MIDWIFERY TODAY -- that should
be a clue that we're not interested in bits about sports or cars or grain
futures, but we still get the dang things!
