This mini-industry (I don't know if it has a generic name yet) has been
around for almost a year, as far as I know, which makes it fairly mature in
internet chronometry <g>. I know of one successful firm in Connecticut
employing around a dozen usenet posters, typing merrily away in a large
room on a dozen PCs. The firm has contracts from various clients, who
carefully specify which newsgroups to post to.

S/he who believes that all product/service mentions in newsgroups are
spontaneously generated by warm feelings on the part of independent
participants will also accept without question that the can of Diet Coke in
that Schwarzenegger epic just happened to be on the set during filming :-)
