I register readers of the Strategic Health Review on a voluntary basis - and then send them
weekly e-mail on new developments in the Review. This weekly mailing is sponsored by a local
insurance company whose sponsorship message appears as a signature, much the same way as this
list.

On registering as readers, I give the regsitrant an assurance (twice) that the list will not be
used to spam them, or send any other unsolicited e-mail of any description. Another sponsor, a
publisher using pulped trees and oil derivatives :-) as their prime medium, wants to give away
freebee copies of their Christmas edition to my registered readers in exchange for some of their
information. What I plan to do is, in one of the regular weekly mailings, mention this offer
saying that snail mail addresses are needed to get the freebee to the reader. I will also warn
that if they respond, then the snail mail addresses will be handed to the publisher who may use
them for further marketing. I'll let you know how it goes.

Regards
David
