I used to manage a list with Agent (registered version of Free Agent the
newsgroup reader) for roughly a year until the list got large and I got
tired of doing subscribes and unsubscribes manually.

Register for $29 and get a full email client and the ability to send to a
list of users without all their names displaying in the message. The "To:"
file looks something like "To: CHK-SAFE List <mwest_at_hitchhikers>".

It's easy. Agent's online help file is one of the best I've used. Heck,
there are even directions describing just what you want to do!

My major annoyance was unsubscribing a user as I had to go and manually
search the subscriber list. I wrote to Forte and they have had a number of
others comment on this. I understand it's on the "to do" list (FWIW).

As a side note, I'm running Eudora 3.0 beta for Win 3.x/Win 95. I'm quite
fond of it and much prefer it over v2.02. I'm fairly sure Eudora will be
able to do this as well -- I just haven't tried yet. Of course, the pro
version of Eudora would be more than 29 bucks.
