You need to design a site to attract visitors -- it's your visitors (and
how many and what kind) that will attract advertisers.

What are your training skills? That may help focus our responses.

But generally, it might be best to have mostly links that compliment (but
don't compete with) your services.

You're also going to need to advertise your site in conventional local
media, and put your URL on your stationary and other printed materials.

One possibility is to let them know about the link, but give them the
opportunity to opt up to a real ad. where they would have a graphic ad,
rather than just a textual link.

but I don't think you should expect people to pay for plain links.

NO!! Reviews should be honest and not paid for. If you would do this, to be
ethical, you'd need to mark the review as an advertisment.
