I have developed a site where the content is exclusively banner
advertisements. Check out http://www.contestworld.com and you will see what
I mean. This way my site content does not 'deflect attention' from the
sponsor ads there. My site is being marketed as exactly what it is so
people who come there do so specifically to 'browse' the ads and link with
sponsors. Is this a workable and marketable stratagey. How much traffic do
I need to generate to get advertisers interested in listing. Are traffic
#'s generated by my server acceptable or do I need to pay for 'outside'
tracking services. Also will advertisers be interested in this 'type' of
customer... ones that are in to contest entries or do you think these 'type'
of people would be considered 'dead beats'.
On a technical note is any one familiar with the concept of page rotation as
opposed to banner rotation. I want to put 3 banners per page (to minimize
download time) but want the pages themselves to be rotated when the 'next
page' button is hit... has this been done?
Thanks for any and all input.
Sincerely,
Jim Kulakoski
