I think it depends a lot on what advertisers you have. There's no
particular reason to place your competitors ads on your site, for example.
(In fact, in most cases, why would you?)
And you might want to look for advertisers whose product/service
complements the company's in some way. Not only will this be a better
targeted ad placement for them, but will add value to your site by giving
your visitors access to additional and relevant information.
