Caching is an issue when you request a static page/image and
it changes at the server. So, if Infoseek passed a single address
to a location that contained a banner that changed often, you
might see this behavior. I strongly doubt that they do this, though.

Actually, depending on what exactly you were searching for,
the advertiser may have been very careful to ensure that you
always saw their ad! www.weddingbells.com was careful
to make sure that they bought all keywords relating to
weddings; expensive, but I'm sure very worth it!

If a page/image is cached and later delivered to you, the server will
never know you requested it the second time. This is why the
discussion comes up regarding the measuring of true readership.
