Mr. Mah, that's where we all need to innovate, experiment, fail and
ultimately succeed. For example, we're trying full-page ads (as opposed to
banner ads) with a questionaire included so that advertisers KNOW that the
consumer has receieved the advertising message. And advertisers only pay for
completed full-page questionaires, not just passing glances at a tiny
banner. We're combining this with a pay-per-view system so that customers
who don't like ads -- there are a few, you know -- will still be able to
participate. We're still doing steps 1. (register with the search engines)
and 3. (participate in the newsgroups), but NOT just to get noticed. We're
learning from those experiences: What do our customers want? What
advertising will they tolerate? What content will the advertisers sponsor?
What kind of targeting do the advertisers want? What price structure works?

We can't just stick with one formula right now. We MUST innovate -- or die.

Consider this is a challenge to all of you: What have you invented lately?
If you haven't failed a few times, you're not taking enough risks.
