A site which my company Carat Interactive developed for our client Bass, one
of the Uks biggest brewers, is at this stage.
The biggest Bass beer brand "Carling Black Label" sponsors the UK soccer
Premier League and we sold them the idea of a web site that covered the
sport as a way of amplifyng their sponsorship and building the connection
between the beer, the sport and its supporters.
The site is now one of the most popular in Europe (and with lots of US
traffic too) and we are approached by lots of advertisers.
The problem is how should we handle this - the revenue is attractive but
does it enhance the site or spoil it? Having worked hard to get traffic to
the site do you want to encourage visitors to leave?
Have a look at www.fa-carling.com.
