Hi my name is Jim Kulakoski I am new to this mailing list (in fact this is
the first mailing list I have ever joined) so please bear with me. I am not
real up on list etiquete. Is it in bad taste to e-mail one of the members
direct? As you can see I am responding to Mark's message regarding ad
revenues (nice site Mark). My questions may seem infantile to most of you
on this list so feel free to refer me to a more appropriate venue if
necessary. But here goes:
1) What have you found to be the most effective avenue to approach
businesses in an attempt to sell them a banner ad on your site (i.e. contact
the site administrator direct and ask for a referal to appropriate contact)?
2) Is it necessary to have a track record of 'hits' prior to attempting
sales at your site?
Well I will confine it to that until which time I find that I am not boring
you all with what you may consider trivial inquiries. Mark, I would be
interested in contacting you direct to discuss marketing approaches (you are
obviously sucessful) feel free to e-mail me direct or respond in this forum
if that is inappropriate.
