Just joined this list in hopes of finding out more information about
advertising on our web site. As a fairly new site we are not yet generating
the "hits" that would meet the critieria of the large advertising companies
and have very bad experiences with some of the companies that cater to all
web sites. Decided the only solution was to start our own advertising
program. Our site has links to sweepstakes, contests and games and we have
set-up our own contest which would require everyone who enters to visit the
sponsors site. We thought if we did not charge very much to become a
sponsor it would be a very inexpensive way for sites to advertise and get
guaranteed "hits" as opposed to banner ads. Of course now we have to figure
out how to promote this. Any thoughts from any of you who have more
experience than we have.
