Web ad brokers/agents?

Does anyone know where I can find a list of companies that will help an
advertiser locate ad space? I'm especially interested in agents who will
help you locate bargains and good value at affordable cost.

I've been able to find some "advertising networks" and some brokers here and
there, but I'm wondering if there's a good directory or listing somewhere.

I'm writing about placing Web advertising, and I'd like to have some good
resources to point my readers to.
