Many people I know browse with graphics loading off. They will all increment
the page counter but will only see the "example text" line instead of the Banner.
The count of GIF file loads will be the number of banners displayed (not counting
caching on intermediate servers). The difference between the ALT text and the
banner might be meaningful to the client.
