I've spent quite some time investigating the numerous methods of tracking
readers/users and the companies offering their services in this area. The
only one I have come across, so far, that doesn't want to take my logs and
sell them back to me at vastly infated prices whilst setting itself up as
the de facto audience measurement standard is BPA International
(www.bpai.com). They offer 3rd party auditing of logs and registration
files, the prices seem reasonable and the service isn't trying to run
before the web and web advertising can walk. That's some testimonial I know
but they are the only company I've come across that has impressed me.
All the best,
Mick
