Ildiko,

I think it is simply because the key focus of this list is Online
Advertising. There are lists, like the one that I moderate called "Asian
Internet Marketing" that focus mainly on international Internet marketing.

While they overlap, like domestic marketing, it is a topic unto itself.
Certain countries are more suited as targets for International Internet
Marketing than others but for the most part the Internet audience from Asia
is primarily the English speaking (not necessarily understanding it that
well and nowhere as comfortable in expressing themselves in it) elite
audience. It will change and many like me wish it would change faster :-)

In terms of numbers and qualitative use, the Internet is still very much a
US phenomena, unfortunately. Pockets of products and services are suitable
for international sales. In particular, I believe there are significant
opportunities for Americans who are well ahead in direct marketing and
direct marketing fullfilment operations to partner with overseas parties in
extending and "nativizing" certain business-to-business offerings - company
incorporations and credit reports on companies are examples.
