Our regular weekly chat session on Business on the WWW has been
discussing on-line advertising/promotion and electronic commerce for the
last few weeks. We'll return to that subject again this Thursday, April
3, and welcome new participants. (noon to 1 PM US Eastern Time).
What are the best places and ways to to advertise? What are the best
advertising strategies? What results can you expect? Is it worth it?
Alternative ways to promote your site/business. Advantages and disadvantages
of designing your site to run advertising. What business models make
sense? What works and why?
Please check the transcripts for the last couple weeks. There have been
some good followup messages with hyperlinks to related articles.

IMPORTANT. PLEASE NOTE: Our Business on the World Wide Web chat sessions
no longer take place at boston.com. We have moved to http://www.web-net.org
Once you are there, click on "Richard Seltzer's Chat: Business on the
World Wide Web." Web-net is a free business networking user group --
people who learn, share and grow using the Web.
All you need is a Web browser (no special software). The screen will
automatically refresh after 45 seconds (default), or a longer rate if you
choose. Select FRAMES and the automatic refresh won't interfere with
your typing messages. You can register as you enter and have your
name appear with your messages, or enter as "anonymous" if you prefer.
The chat room will be open at all times, but the scheduled time (noon to
1 PM on Thursdays) is when we'll all plan to be there. Please come a little
early to get used to the new setup.
Followup messages (for inclusion with the transcripts) and suggestions
for future topics are always welcome. Please email to seltzer_at_samizdat.com
Best wishes.
