O'Reilly & Associates, a leading publisher of Web publishing software and
technical books, has an immediate opening in our Sebastopol, California
office for a full-time Software Direct Channel Coordinator located in our
Software Sales and Marketing Department. Your challenge is to turn the
O'Reilly Software Online (OSO) Web site into a major revenue generator.
This will be done through conception and implementation of major strategic
sales initiatives and the aggressive pursuit of day-to-day online
promotional opportunities to maintain market leadership. You will also
write and direct development of online and printed marketing communications
materials.
Requirements include: minimum of two years solid professional experience in
Internet/World Wide Web software sales and/or marketing; BA in Sales and
Marketing
or related field (or relevant experience); able to produce compelling sales
copy on
deadline; able to handle multiple projects at once, working in a
deadline-driven environment; applications knowledge must include
familiarity with Windows 95 and NT, and Web publishing software; HTML and
UNIX familiarity a plus.
