In preparing my presentation for Web Advertising '97, I finally had a
chance to sift through the vast amounts of data I collected last year
regarding opt-in mailing lists, discussion lists, and e-zines that accept
advertising or sponsorship. I've put this together into a single directory
that can be found from a link on the online-ads home page, or by going
directly to:

This directory is undoubtedly incomplete, as there have been many new lists
created since I collected my original data. We intend to maintain and
update the directory and turn it into a comprehensive index for such ad
buys. Instructions for submitting additions or corrections to the listing
are included at the top of the page, and we welcome such submissions. We
also welcome any suggestions as to how to better organize and group the
lists into categories.

slick, but there's nothing like direct
mail to reach out and touch Internet
users where they live."

We hope this resource allow net advertisers to make better use of this
underutilized marketing tool in a net.acceptable manner.
