Right on Andy!

We did something very similar, we developed a section of our site for
Industry. It can be seen at: <http://www.obgyn.net/industry/industry.htm>
We have yet to try to generate revenues from it, but simply provide the
section as a service to potential sponsors and professionals in our
industry (Pharmaceutical/Advertising/Internet/ObGyn). The ads that we run
are for self promotion and to highlight our current sponsors. We feature
discussion forums including this one (Recommended) and use the entry page
for hot finds and features (ClickZ is featured this week)., and highlight
other companies in our industry that have put the web to good use in
branding/marketing products. Our goal is to be a hub for all aspects of our
industry: Doctors, Patients and Industry, and to create a total community
each with their own home page.

We have yet to incorporate a stat service for current customers, but it is
a good idea.
