Canon Reps refer to the process as Photo Copying or copying for short

Good point. There are a number of companies that face loosing their brand
name if they are to become synonomus with the product, some examples that
come to mind are:

Roller Blades: In-line Skates
Kleenex: Facial Tissues
Q-Tip Cotton Swabbs
Coke: Cola
Pop Tart Toster Pastry
Band Aid Adheasive Bandage

Blah, Blah, Blah........

Using the brand name to promote the generic is not right and will not be
right until the brand name is lost and used as the genric. Just see wht the
reaction is when you order a Coke at Taco Bell, KFC, or on Nortwest
Airlines. They have to explain that they don't have Coke, they only serve
Pepsi products.
