Whoa. I have been trying to place a targetted advertising buy for many
months, without success. The problem is the transaction cost: I want to
place a relatively small ad buy (under $2,500) and no one will do the
kind of targetting I want for a reasonable price for that small a purchase.
(In fact, no one can deliver the targetting I want at all: I want targetting
based on geography and user demographics, and NO ONE can deliver
that today.)

Here are my criteria, once again, in case someone will be claiming that
they can do it: I want to run a banner ad campaign aimed at "older"
(than average) users who are "wealthier" (than average), and who reside
in a certain portion of the "East Bay" (generally, from San Leandro to
Fremont to Livermore to Walnut Creek and Lamorinda). [I would accept
a slightly broader distribution (for example, 945xx zip codes, or 510
area code) in exchange for a lower CPM rate.] All other things being
equal, I would like my ad to reach more women than average, and
perhaps more gays & lesbians than average. For more discussion of
my desired ad placement, see sections 12-13 of my presentation from
