Hi all,
I hope to have a chance to run into some of you at the Internet World
Conference in New York next week. Much of the day Wednesday I will
probably be helping out at the exhibit for the Association of Internet
Professionals (AIP) (http://www.association.org/) of which I am on the
Board of Directors. AIP is the professional society for all of us working
in the Internet industry, and if you are at the conference I urge you to
stop by the exhibit and learn more about the organization and the benefits
it offers its members. With its acquisition of the Webmasters' Guild that
was announced yesterday, AIP is now represents over 10,000 individual and
corporate members internationally.
One other activity I have planned for this trip to New York is to scout out
a great restaurant for the dinner Tenagra/Online Ads is planning on hosting
on February 1, 1998, the evening before the start of the Web Advertising
'98 conference. The get together we held earlier this year in Monterey
before the Web Advertising '97 conference turned out to be both an
incredible gormet dinner and a tremendous networking success, and we are
looking forward to facilitating the same kind of gathering in New York.
Any suggestions from the list on great restaurants somewhere near the
Marriot World Trade Center? We are looking for a venue that can
accommodate 50+ people with top quality food and prices that are not overly
"New York style extravagant." Bonus points if you can send me a URL for
the restaurant. Please send any suggestions to me and not to the list.
