This brings up an interesting idea for our particular situation. Our
company provides electronic commerce solutions for a number of companies,
which gives us the opportunity to put banner adds of one type or another
directly on the thankyou page generated by our system. Of course this is
something we would get permission for and offer a per transaction discount
for.

Also, due to the way our system works, the thankyou page could have a
customized advertisement for the consumer because our system can print up
any of the customer information that was obtained from the order on the
thankyou page itself.

I know that there are issues here with privacy, etc.., but this seems like
a nice way to build a sort of in house banner network using our own
customer base.

Does this sound like it has any merit?
