There is a new implementation of webrings (called WebChains) which is now
available at OneSeek.com.

The main difference between WebChains and the traditional approach to
webrings is that navigation is controlled via a separate pop-up window...so
it is not necessary to add code to each site in the ring.

Any user can create custom WebChains and bookmark them for his or her own
use. Or you can post a link to the chain on your site; this can be an
interesting alternative a list of links to other related sites.

You can also cooperate with other sites by agreeing to each post a link to
the chain (similar to the normal webring model). However, you can include
ANY site in the chain...which means you can include high traffic/brand name
sites that probably would not agree to join a ring. This can increase the
value of the chain to end users and also gives you an opportunity to
position your site next to other quality, branded sites.

You can check it out at http://www.oneseek.com
