I've just recently found this list in my search to dig up some
information on The Commonwealth Network/Interactive
Imagination/Riddler.com, and found reading through the archive rather
interesting.
I did read all of the posts pertaining to the Commonwealth Network, but
there have been no updates as of late, none that I can find at any rate.
The reason for the inquiry is that we (Magick Online) have been
approached by CW for advertising purposes on the main web site that we
run: The Gamer's Inn - http://www.gamersinn.com, and the .. offer? that
was sent to us by email was rather lucrative, and my partner had also
spent a couple of hours talking to one of the reps on the phone, from
what she told me of the conversation, it was rather positive and full of
enthusiasm, and the way things are going with our attempts at selling
advertising, this is basically a dream come true (Famous Last Words:)
Anyway, the program, setup, or whatever you want to call it that was
detailed to us in the email from them is different than what I have read
about in the archive and on other sites slamming CW for scams and
fraudulency.
We're certainly going to be careful in our dealings with these people,
and possibly even approach them about some of the concerns that have
been raised about them by others. But if anyone has any updates on the
class action suit against them, whether they are still defaulting on
payments to its affiliates, or if they're paying out what they should,
I'd be very interested in knowing.
