Hmmm....I remember the line (can't remember who said it though) about
content becoming Microsoft's Vietman. I think you've raised some
interesting points.

I think MS may end up shifting their strategy. The recent rumor of Bill G.
maneuvering to try and buy a controlling interest in CNet is quite
interesting. They may finally be realizing that it makes more sense to just
buy existing content providers instead of trying to build them themselves.
