To anyone who hasn't yet gone, I'd recommend Danny's site - it's worth a
visit by you or your webmaster. However, my colleagues and I have a
slightly different problem. Next week, we are beta-launching our new
website, a guide to cybercafes, wired hotels, web kiosks and other Net
access points around the world. It's built around an Oracle
database/webserver solution. Thing is, how do you make sure a database
interface gets properly indexed on the search engines? Apart from
judicious use of the ALT and META tags, we will also be putting up some
internally-linked, flat HTML pages (help, about, feedback and so forth).

Any suggestions for making sure we get noticed by all the bots (ie at the
top of the results list, with the search page first rather than help,
about or any of the others)?

Cheers,

Mark Dolley, zapworks
